Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has publicly vowed to take action against her colleague Eniola Badmus, following a heated exchange in which Badmus allegedly referred to her as an “animal.”
The clash, which began at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s film Owanbe Thieves on Sunday, escalated further when Bakare shared screenshots of a private message from Badmus via Instagram. In the message, Badmus reportedly wrote:
“Don’t bring your terrible animalistic behaviour around me. Stay farrrrrrrr.”
Reacting to the message, Laide Bakare took to social media to slam Badmus, accusing her of ingratitude and recalling their professional history. According to Bakare, she gave Eniola her first big break in Nollywood when others allegedly distanced themselves due to Badmus’ appearance.
In a fiery Instagram post, Bakare wrote:
“I gave you your first major role in life when no one wanted to associate with you because of your ugly looks and obesity.
I spent my hard-earned money on an ingrate like you, and all you could repay me with is to call me an animal?
Haaa! ENIOLA! Almighty God will judge you, Insha Allah. You’ve started what you cannot finish. I promise—you must collect.”
The drama has quickly gained attention online, with fans and industry insiders weighing in on both sides of the feud.
