Pastor Dr. Kayode Ijisesan, affectionately known as Dr. Kay, was born on November 21st and is the founder and president of KingsWord Ministries International. Kayode Ijisesan is a trained pharmacist from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Pastor Dr. Kay later completed a doctorate program in Christian Theology. In August 2013, he was honored with a Doctor of Divinity in recognition of his significant contribution to the body of Christ by the International Ministry Institute in Pensacola, Florida. His commitment to education is also reflected in the twenty-eight books he has authored on various topics such as Faith, Grace, Holy Spirit, Excellence, Purpose, Redemption, and Blessing.
Ministry
In obedience to the divine instructions received in 1990, Pastor Dr. Kay planted the seed of the vision with the inception of KingsWord Campus Church in April 1993. The official commissioning of KingsWord Ministries International took place on November 21, 1997, with the Church arm, KingsWord International Church, inaugurated on December 31, 1997, in Lagos, Nigeria.
Relocating to the United States in 1999, Pastor Dr. Kay established KingsWord International Church, Chicago, on September 1, 2002, which currently serves as the Apostolic headquarters of the ministry. Over the years, Pastor Dr. Kay has actively planted local churches in several nations, resulting in multiple thousands of members worldwide.
Currently based in Chicago, United States, he provides apostolic oversight to all the churches and missions under the KingsWord Ministries International umbrella. Beyond his apostolic duties, he extensively travels the globe, holding conferences, crusades, and imparting local churches.

About Pastor Mrs. Mayowa Ijisesan
Pastor May is an accomplished individual with B.Sc. and Master’s Degrees in Electrical Engineering. She worked as a Software Engineer in the Silicon Valley before transitioning to full-time ministry in 2018. She also holds an Executive Scholar Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management. Passionate about ministering to the whole person, Pastor May engages in various outreach programs, including Dear Pastor’s Wife, Career Resources, Reset for Singles, and Annual Women’s Conferences.
