At the time, RCCG was under the leadership of its founder, Pastor Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, who had a vision of spreading the gospel across Nigeria and beyond.

Adeboye’s spiritual awakening within RCCG was marked by an intense hunger for a deeper relationship with God.
