Background and Early Life
Emmanuel Iren hails from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He completed his elementary education at Saint Bernadette’s Nursery and Primary School in Ipaja, Lagos, before moving to Queen’s Choice Nursery and Primary School College in Ikotun, Lagos. For his secondary education, he attended Doregos Private Academy.
Continuing his educational journey, Emmanuel Iren pursued a degree in Building Technology at Covenant University, from which he graduated. He furthered his education and obtained an MSc in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos.
Ministry
His ministerial journey began when he served as a Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God for almost nine years. During this time, he had a profound encounter that left a lasting impact on his life. From an early age, he demonstrated his passion for ministry, participating in Sunday School Bible quizzes and delivering his first sermon at the age of 13 during Teens Week at the RCCG.
The call to ministry became even more evident during his time at Covenant University in 2008. He started a fellowship known as Triumphal Youth Fellowship on campus, which eventually evolved into Life Triumphal Church. At just 22 years old, Emmanuel Iren inaugurated the first campus of the church on November 11, 2012, at Emsquare, Ijegun. The church was later named Celebration Church International in 2014.
Presently, Celebration Church International has experienced remarkable growth, expanding its influence with branches established in several cities such as Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, and Ile-Ife. In addition to his role as the overseer of the church, Pastor Emmanuel Iren also takes charge of two other significant ministerial platforms known as the Manifest Bible Course and Triumph30 devotional.
A gifted preacher and songwriter, Emmanuel Iren has penned over 12 songs that center on Christ and bring glory to His name. He founded Outburst Music Group, a platform dedicated to producing Christ-centered music. In December 2017, he released his debut album, “Kerygma” (Gospel of Jesus), which received widespread acclaim. Additionally, he actively collaborates with other artists, such as Odunayo Adebayo, in creating uplifting and inspiring songs like “Zoe.”
