In 2003, Kefee’s musical journey reached a new milestone as she signed with Alec’s Entertainment, a record label founded by her former choir director, Alec Godwin. This partnership paved the way for her debut studio album, “Branama,” which instantly propelled her into the spotlight. Notably, “Branama” sold a remarkable nine thousand cassettes in just three weeks and over two million CDs and VCDs within a month. This achievement solidified her status as a prominent Nigerian gospel artist.

A Tragic Farewell
The world was left in shock and sorrow on June 12, 2014, when the news broke that Kefee had passed away. While there were rumors about the cause being pre-eclampsia, she had succumbed to lung failure at a hospital in Los Angeles, California. Kefee had spent fifteen days in a coma, leaving behind a legacy that transcended her untimely departure.
Kefee’s earthly journey might have ended, but her music continues to live on. Her soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and unwavering faith still inspire generations. On July 11, 2014, she was laid to rest in her hometown of Okpara Inland, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.
