Early Life and Education
Tee Mac embarked on his academic journey at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, where he obtained a first-class economics degree. However, his passion for music led him to pursue a specialization in classical music concert performance and philharmonic composition at the University of Lausanne. This unique blend of academic pursuits laid the foundation for a remarkable career that would span over four decades.
Career
In the 1970s, Tee Mac formed several bands, including Tee Mac & Afro Collection, showcasing his versatility and innovation in the music industry. His global footprint was established when he recorded his debut LP, “United,” with Polydor International in Germany in the late seventies, leading to the formation of his European band, Tee Mac United.
Tee Mac’s musical journey took him around the world, performing in the Far East, Latin America, Europe, North America, and South Africa. Notably, he collaborated with the celebrated Welsh-Nigerian singer Shirley Bassey, serving as her musical arranger and conductor. His compositions extended to Hollywood, Los Angeles, where he worked as a composer for Cidi Croft Enterprise and Universal Films.
Despite his international success, Tee Mac remained committed to supporting local Nigerian initiatives. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Classical Music Society of Nigeria, a foundation for the Muson Centre, Nigeria’s premier music school.

Musician Union of Nigeria
In 2007, Teemac was elected as the president of the Musician Union of Nigeria (PMAN), dedicating his time and energy to the development of the Nigerian entertainment industry. His commitment extended to the Motherland Group, initiated by Marlon Jackson of The Jackson 5, where Tee Mac served as the Nigerian director to build a historical slave museum in Badagry. In 2011, he assumed the role of chairman of FAMECorp, contributing to the construction of cinema houses and concert halls across Nigeria.
Honors and Recognition
Teemac’s impact on both the music industry and society earned him the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) national honor in 2009. This recognition was a result of his vital role in brokering peace with Niger Delta militants and advocating for their rehabilitation.
