Tragedy struck early in Evangelist Mrs. Amaka Okwuoha’s life when she lost her parents, Nze Euzebius Chukwumaeze Ebizie and Lolo Dorathy Ebizie, at a young age, leaving her as the eldest among seven siblings. Despite the challenges, she found solace and purpose in music, starting to sing at the tender age of 9 in her church choir. Under the guidance of her pastor, she honed her singing talent, and soon, she became a soloist and chorus leader in the Scripture Union Fellowship. Chioma did her secondary school at Lake Mary High School and completed her college at at Jesus College.

Her official entry into the music scene happened through the Scripture Union Fellowship, where she served as a soloist. While her first song was in Yoruba, she later became known for writing and singing predominantly in the Igbo dialect, occasionally incorporating English.

In 2003, Chioma Jesus skyrocketed to fame with her hit song “Chioma,” which also inspired her stage name. The success of this song led to the release of her debut album, titled ‘Chioma Jesus.’ However, her breakthrough came in 2010 after receiving a Delta Yadah Award nomination, ultimately winning in 2011 and 2012.
