Samuel Onwubiko, known by his stage name Limoblaze, is a Nigerian gospel singer-songwriter and rapper. He was born on October 25, 1995, in Abia State, Nigeria, to parents Samuel and Nkechi Onwubiko. He grew up in Makurdi, Benue State, as one of eight children.
Early Life
At the age of 8, Limoblaze discovered the music of popular rappers such as Tupac, Eminem, and 50 Cent, which sparked his interest in music. Later, he came across Christian rappers like Lecrae, the Ambassador, Andy Mineo, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., and Tedashii, influencing him to become an Afro gospel, Afrobeat, and Hip-hop gospel singer, songwriter, and performing artist.
Education & Music Career
Limoblaze pursued a degree in Biochemistry at the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi, Nigeria, and it was during this time that he began his professional gospel music career by joining the DayStar Church.
His music career started as an independent and unsigned artist, and he released his first song, “Memories,” dedicated to his high school classmates. He continued to release more songs, including “Grace,” “Unconditional,” “Wrong Ways,” and “For the King,” featuring American rapper Los of HGA.

Limoblaze also collaborated with other gospel artists like Ada Ehi, Travis Greene, and Da’ T.R.U.T.H. He released several studio albums, including “Blind” (2016), “Before Now” (2018), “Afrobeats Raps & Jesus” (2019), “The Wait E.p” (2020), and “Bridges” (2020) with Da’ T.R.U.T.H.

In July 2022, he gained widespread recognition with the release of the hit single “Jireh (My Provider),” featuring Lecrae and Happi. The song made it to the Billboard Year-End U.S. Afrobeats Songs of 2022.
In addition to his music career, Limoblaze has ventured into acting and appeared in the movie “Payday” alongside renowned actors like Zack Orji.
