Evang. Lawrence Oyor is a prominent gospel music minister, born on June 16th, 1992, in Ibadan, a city in Oyo state, Nigeria. He grew up in a Christian home, being born as a twin into a family of four with both parents serving as clergymen. His father, Late Rev. Dr. Gomba Fortune Oyor, was also involved in the ministry. After completing his primary education, Lawrence attended Shalom Christian College in Ibadan for his secondary education. He later gained admission to study Law at the prestigious University of Ibadan, graduating in 2013, before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus.
During the early days of his ministry, Lawrence attended the Texas Bible Institute, where he graduated in 2016. It was during this period that he began to gain recognition for his powerful gospel chants, with his most popular one being “Bowl of Fire,” known for its divine connection to listeners. Throughout his music career, Lawrence has released numerous powerful gospel chants and songs that have touched the hearts of many.
